Offensive Line Fundamentals and Techniques:

Part I – The Run Game

STANCE AND START

 

I. Stance: Three Point/Parallel.

A. Most importantly be comfortable. General rule is feet shoulder width apart. Toes slightly pointed out.

B. Weight equally distributed on bottom of foot. No daylight to slight under heel.

C. Breakdown in three areas (ankles, knees, hips) to create power producing angles. Keep "Z" in the knees.

D. Knees remain under armpits so angle of hips stay closed

E. Back level.

F. Head up but not bowed. Look through your eyebrows.

G. Place down hand slightly forward of the eyes on a line just inside your foot, on your finger tips.
